  • Rudy Vugteveen and Brandon Sanders have successfully passed the certification examination for registration as a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM). This certification is a nationally accredited program of the Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM) and requires an in-depth knowledge of seven categories of floodplain management. The primary goal of the ASFPM Certified Floodplain Manager Program is to help reduce the nation’s flood losses and protect and enhance the natural resources and functions of its floodplains by improving the knowledge and abilities of floodplain managers in the United States. Currently, there are only 108 Certified Floodplain Managers in Indiana. RMA now has four Certified Floodplain Managers on staff.
