RMA is involved in construction layout at all stages of the project, from verifying initial control points through project completion. By knowing and understanding the standards and procedures for construction layout, we improve the overall quality, productivity, and profitability of the project. We pride ourselves in working closely with all interested parties, including the prime contractor, the design engineer, and the architect, we maintain communication channels and keep the project moving.

RMA’s project engineers take project plans, as created by the Design Engineer, and create staking layouts which our field crews use to place wooden stakes and hubs, on-site. These stakes are used for the layout of the project, including curbs, pavement, sidewalks, structures, etc. A stake being misplaced by even 1 ft can result in thousands of dollars of reconstruction, which is why RMA prides itself on attention to detail. We slow down and take the time to ensure that every stake we lay down matches the plans exactly.
